This is a recipe that my mother gave me that was passed down from her father. Its an easy to digest meal for small children or to help when you are feeling sick to your stomach. The Allspice and cinnamon helps promote circulation and to relieve pain from muscle cramps and strains.
Milk Toast

Ingredients
- 3 cups Milk.
- ⅓ cup White sugar or monk fruit sweetener.
- 1 ½ Tablespoons Vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon Allspice.
- 1 Tablespoon Unsalted butter
- 6 slices White bread toasted
- ½ teaspoon Ground cinnamon or to taste
Instructions
- Combine milk, sugar, vanilla extract and allspice in a medium saucepan over medium heat; heat just to a boil. Do not overheat or the milk will burn.
- Divide milk evenly into 3 bowls. Tear toast into bite-sized pieces or smaller pieces and distribute evenly amongst bowls. Sprinkle with cinnamon on top to taste.
