Best sausage gravy recipe, great for breakfast, and dinner, and can use any biscuits with the gravy.
Equipment
- 1 14 inch flat non stick pan We got our from Sam's club Members Mark Brand
Ingredients
- 1 Pound Ground Pork Sausage
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- ⅓ Cup Flour
- 3 Cups Milk
- ¼ teaspoon Garlic Powder
- ¼ teaspoon Seasoned Salt
- ¼ teaspoon Salt
- ¼ teaspoon MSG
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 can Pillsbury Grands Southern Homestyle Butter Tastin’ Biscuit Dough 8 ct., 16.3 oz.
Instructions
- Brown the sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat until no pink shows.
- Add the butter to the pan and let it melt naturally.
- Sprinkle the flour over the sausage, this will usually take about 2 minutes or until the flour smell is gone.
- Pour the milk into the sausage and flour, add the milk slowly.
- Make sure the milk was heated up beforehand and whisked until smooth.
- Add in the seasonings.
- Taste the gravy and adjust the seasoning if necessary. Usually, I add more MSG if it needs salt.
- Serve immediately with your favorite biscuits.
Notes
- I always like to get the canned biscuits from Walmart or King Soopers they taste fresh and only takes 12 minutes to cook.
- We found this original recipe and added to it as we tasted it.
