Sausage Gravy with Biscuits

Economical and easy to make, this sausage gravy is delicious and can be served as breakfast, or breakfast for dinner!

Equipment

  • 14 inch flat non stick pan

Ingredients

  • 1 Pound Ground Pork Sausage or breakfast sausage
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • Cup Flour
  • 3 Cups Milk
  • ¼ teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Seasoned Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon MSG
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • Biscuits, potatoes or noodles for serving

Instructions

  • Brown the sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat until done.
  • Add the butter to the pan and let it melt.
  • Sprinkle the flour over the sausage and continue cooking while stirring, this will usually take about 2 minutes or until the flour smell is gone.
  • Heat milk in the microwave till quite warm. Sprinkle the seasonings over the sausage, then slowly pour the milk into the sausage and flour and continue to stir and cook until thickened.
  • Taste the gravy and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
  • Serve immediately with your favorite biscuits, potatoes or noodles.
