This amazing homemade buttercream chocolate icing recipe is perfect on vanilla cupcakes. Use this chocolatey treat it on cakes, cupcakes, or just grab a spoon and chow down (yeah you heard me)! It is super quick and easy to make and is just the best! I have even used this whipped chocolate frosting in my coffee. This amazinlgly easy chocolate buttercream frosting recipe is great on cakes and cupcakes.
Ingredients
- 2 ¾ cups confectioners sugar
- 6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter at room temperature
- 5 tablespoons evaporated milk at room temperature
- 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Allow the butter to soften and leave at room temp for 1 hour.
- in a large mixing bowl. mix the dry ingredients.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients.
- Put into a piping bag and allow to cool down in the fridge for about 30 minutes to 1 hour.
- Use whatever tip you want to carefully pipe the frosting.
Notes
- I found a creamy chocolate frosting but I added 1 extra teaspoon of vanilla extract.
