Equipment
- 1 enamel pot
Ingredients
- 1 lbs Italian sausage Johnsonville Mild
- 1.5 Cup White wine
- 24 oz cheese tortellini
- 1 Stick Butter garlic and herb Kerrygold
- Minced garlic
- Half an onion minced/chopped
- 1.5 teaspoon Badia Complete
- 1.5 teaspoon Black pepper
- 1.5 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 2 teaspoons Italian Seasoning
- 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
- 1.5 Cups Beef Broth
- 1 Cup heavy cream
- 4 oz cream cheese garlic and herb whipped
- 1 Cup grated Parmesan

Instructions
- Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it into pieces as it browns. Once it’s fully cooked, remove it from the pan and set it aside.
- Lower the heat to medium-low and let the pan cool slightly. Add a stick of butter along with the minced garlic, cooking just until fragrant about a minute.
- Stir in your seasonings, then pour in the beef broth and heavy cream, mixing well to combine. Add the tortellini and dollops of whipped cream cheese, giving everything a gentle stir.
- Cover the pan with a lid and let it come to a simmer. Cook for about 10 minutes, or until the tortellini is tender and plump.
- Remove the lid and stir in the grated Parmesan and fresh basil until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Return the cooked sausage to the pan and mix until everything is evenly coated in the sauce.

I’ve attached the links for the specific butter and pork sausage we use. Feel free to swap them for whatever you have available, though! We used mild sausage, but if you prefer a bit of heat, the hot version works great too.
