Oreo Chocolate Cake

We hope you enjoy this super chocolaty, super easy to make chocolate cake. This is a fun recipe to start getting those younger family members introduced to baking! This recipe is from the kitchen of Diana Baer.
Equipment
- 9 x 13 baking pan
- mixing bowl
Ingredients
- 1 Boxed chocolate cake mix and additional ingredients listed on box
- 1 cup Chocolate chips
- 1 cup Original Oreo cookies crumbled
- Pillsbury Funfetti Vanilla Frosting with OREO cookie pieces 15.6 Oz tub
Instructions
- Grease baking pan, or spray with nonstick spray. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a mixing bowl, mix together the chocolate cake mix according to package directions.
- Stir in the chocolate chips and crushed up Oreos into the wet batter and transfer into the 9 x 13 baking pan.
- Bake in oven at 350 for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool the cake for 1-2 hours, then spread with the Funfetti frosting.
- Add extra crushed Oreos on top of the frosting for fun!
