This recipe comes from the kitchen of Cindy my mother in law! These amazing cookies are so adictive I literally cannot keep them available in my household. They are perfect around the holidays as a sweet soft treat that guests love! My mother in laws version of chocolate crinkle cookies for the holidays! This makes about 4 dozen.

Equipment

  • 1 kitchenaid stand mixture

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup canola oil or vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  • In a large bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer, add cocoa powder, oil, and sugar. Mix together. Add the eggs 1 at a time and stir well. Add the vanilla, baking powder, flour, and salt.
  • Cover and allow to chill in the fridge for 1 hour.
  • Preheat oven to 350° F.
  • Use a medium scooper and drop 2 Tablespoons full of the chocolate dough into the powdered sugar. Roll until they are fully covered.
  • Put onto a pre-greased baking sheet about 1 1/2" apart.
  • Bake for about 10 to 12 minutes.
