Equipment
- 9 x 13 baking dish
Ingredients
- 1 Brownie box mix of choice
- 1 Chocolate Frosting of choice
- Confectioners sugar
- Menthe flavoring or Crème de Menthe flavoring
- Water
- Green Dye
Instructions
- Prepare one box of brownie mix according to the package instructions.
- Bake the brownies as directed and allow them to cool completely.
- Chocolate Frosting:
- Use one can of pre-made chocolate frosting.
- Stir the frosting well until it becomes lighter and fluffier.
- Green Mint Frosting:
- In a small bowl, add a small capful of mint (menthe) flavoring.
- Mix in enough powdered sugar water to create a thin frosting paste -- you want at least 1/2 cup of the paste. Add more water if the frosting is too thick, or more powdered sugar if it is too thin.
- Stir in 2 drops of green food coloring until evenly combined.
- Spread the chocolate frosting evenly over the cooled brownies.
- Spoon small amounts of the green mint frosting on top of the chocolate frosting.
- Use a toothpick or the back of a spoon to gently swirl the two frostings together, creating a marbled effect.
