Fried Cabbage with Bacon, Onion & Garlic

Equipment
- 1 frying pan
Ingredients
- 6 slices Bacon chopped
- 1 large Onion diced
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 large head green Cabbage cored and sliced
- 1 Tablespoon salt or to taste
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/8 teaspoon smoked paprika
Instructions
- Place the bacon in a large stockpot and cook over medium-high heat until crispy (about 10 minutes.)
- Add in the onion and garlic cook and stir until the onions are caramelized about (5 minutes.)
- Immediately stir in the cabbage and continue to cook and stir for another (10 minutes.)
- Season with salt, pepper to taste onion powder, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
- Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer, stirring occasionally for about 30 minutes.
- Eat and enjoy!
Notes
You can also use a purple Cabbage instead of a green one. It comes down to preference.
