Dr. Pepper BBQ sauce

If you want a sweet and a little tangy sauce to go with wings or ribs, then this is a great sauce to try. Its not too vinegary and not too sweet, just perfect! You can dial up or down the sweet and tang as you prefer.

Ingredients
- 1 can Dr Pepper 8 ounces
- 1 cup Ketchup
- 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 Tablespoon Cherry cola seasoning
- ¼ cup Apple cider vinegar
- 1 Tablespoon Brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons Yellow mustard
- 3 cloves Garlic minced
- ¼ teaspoon Cinnamon
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, sauté garlic until slightly browned along the edges.
- Add Dr. Pepper to the saucepan and cook until slightly reduced, stirring frequently.
- Add the ketchup, Worcestershire, seasoning, vinegar, brown sugar, and mustard. Continue to cook for 10 to 15 minutes to allow the flavors to combine, stirring frequently.
- If the sauce needs thickening, in a separate cup combine 1 tablespoon cornstarch and 1 tablespoon water. Add the cornstarch slurry to the BBQ sauce a little bit at a time until the sauce has reached the desired consistency.
- Allow to cool completely before storing.
