This is a super easy and very versatile barbeque sauce to stir together. Its great on anything you want to grill, and you can dial up or down the sweet and tang as much as you want!

If you want a sweet and a little tangy sauce to go with wings or ribs, then this is a great sauce to try. Its not too vinegary and not too sweet, just perfect! You can dial up or down the sweet and tang as you prefer.

Ingredients

  • 1 can Dr Pepper 8 ounces
  • 1 cup Ketchup
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Cherry cola seasoning
  • ¼ cup Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon Brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Yellow mustard
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • ¼ teaspoon Cinnamon
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, sauté garlic until slightly browned along the edges.
  • Add Dr. Pepper to the saucepan and cook until slightly reduced, stirring frequently.
  • Add the ketchup, Worcestershire, seasoning, vinegar, brown sugar, and mustard. Continue to cook for 10 to 15 minutes to allow the flavors to combine, stirring frequently.
  • If the sauce needs thickening, in a separate cup combine 1 tablespoon cornstarch and 1 tablespoon water. Add the cornstarch slurry to the BBQ sauce a little bit at a time until the sauce has reached the desired consistency.
  • Allow to cool completely before storing.
