Don't you love it when Pumpkin Spice season rolls around? How about this Pumpkin spiced French Toast recipe! I hope you love it as much as we do!
- 2 Eggs
- 1/3 cup Milk whole or oatmilk
- 1/4 cup Pumpkin puree not pumpkin pie filling
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Pumpkin pie spice
- 1/2 teaspoon Allspice
- 6 Slices bread homemade or Texas toast work well
- 2 Tablespoons Unsalted butter
In flat mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, pumpkin puree, vanilla, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, and allspice.
Set a large non-stick pan over medium heat, add butter and melt.
Quickly put the sliced bread into the egg mixture, flipping until both sides are soaked, and then place on the hot skillet.
Cook until each side is golden brown (or darker color but not burnt), about 2-3 minutes on each side.
They are ready to eat immediately, or keep warm in the oven until all are ready.
- We used our homemade fresh bread for this and it was fantastic! You can use any other bread you have handy.
