You just have to try this recipe -- its so much better than any Ranch you've ever had from the store! And so quick and easy to make.

Equipment

  • Stainless steel mixing bowl
  • whisk

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Mayonnaise 240 ml
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream 120 ml
  • 3/4 cup Buttermilk 180 ml
  • 3 teaspoons Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons White vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon MSG optional
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup Fresh dill finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup Fresh chives finely chopped

Instructions

  • In a large bowl combine the mayonnaise with the sour cream. Use a whisk to combine.
  • Slowly whisk in the buttermilk until incorporated.
  • Add the onion and garlic powder and whisk thoroughly.
  • In a separate small bowl stir together vinegar with salt, sugar and MSG.
  • Stir the vinegar mix into the bowl with buttermilk.
  • Finally whisk in the chopped parsley, dill and chives. Refrigerate for at least an hour to thicken and incorporate herbs and spices.
