These are great for any barbeque with friends or even a weeknight meal! Hope you enjoy!
- 10 Bratwurst raw
- 1 Large onion thinly sliced
- 4 12 ounces cans of beer (Modelo Especial)
- 1 Tablespoon Chicken bouillon
- 10 Brat buns, split for serving
- Beer cheese sauce
- Ketchup and mustard for serving
- Sauerkraut for serving
Preheat the pot or pan over to medium-high heat. In a large pot over medium-high heat, add brats, onion, beer and chicken bouillon.
Bring to a boil then reduce heat. Simmer until brats are cooked through. This will take about 10 to 12 minutes.
Remove brats to a bowl or platter.
Continue cooking onions in beer while grilling the brats. When done, drain off the beer.
Grill the brats on medium turning the brats as needed, until browned (this will take about 5 minutes on each side.)
Serve brats in buns, ladle beer cheese sauce over, cover with onions. Top with any additional toppings you like.
