This smokey, sweet and zesty recipe will be a sure hit at your next dinner or barbeque. This recipe is easy to make and was created to be cost friendly but you can add whatever additional flavors you want!

Ingredients
30ozRanch Style Beans2 15 ounce cans, do not drain
1 cupChicken stock
½cupSweet onionabout ½ medium onion
2Chipotle chilies in adobo saucechopped
1TablespoonAdobo sauce
1cupGreen bell pepper1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
2clovesGarlicminced
1poundGround turkey
2/3cupKetchup
2TablespoonDijon mustard
¼cupBrown sugar
1TablespoonSmoked paprika
2TablespoonWorcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400° F (204° C).
In a medium Dutch oven over medium high heat, cook the ground turkey in a skillet until it is no longer pink. Season with salt and pepper as needed.
Add the remaining ingredients. Stir to combine. Continue to cook for 5 minutes.
Cover and put in 400° oven. Cook for 30-35 minutes to allow ingredients to come up to temp.
Notes
I used dark brown sugar but you can use light brown sugar if you prefer.
If you like the flavor of molasses, feel free to add, starting with 1 Tablespoon and increasing to taste.
This recipe was made in a Dutch oven but you can use whatever oven safe and stovetop safe vessel you choose just make sure it is large enough to hold all the ingredients.
To be respectful of cost and calories, I used lean ground turkey (93% lean) but If ground beef is more your thing feel free to use that instead. Just make sure to drain the fat before adding the other ingredients.
You can also add other ingredients such as chopped, fried bacon; or a squirt of yellow mustard or vinegar if more tartness is desired.
