Pizza Sauce

Honestly, we know the store-bought Mariana is so sugary and you end up hating it. So make it at home, its so cheap and easy to do!

Ingredients

  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 6 ounces tomato paste 1 can
  • 15 ounces diced fire roasted tomatoes 1 can
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon whte balsamic vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons of Badia Complete Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Over medium heat, add the oil. Sauté the garlic for 1 minute or until fragrant.
  • Add the red wine and cook for 3-4 minutes to reduce the alcohol.
  • Add the remaining ingredients. Using the immersion blender, blend until smooth. If using a blender, combine all ingredients in the blender process until smooth, and add to pot.
  • Over low heat, cover the sauce and let simmer for 15 – 20 minutes.
  • Allow to cool before storing in refrigerator.
